If you love the beach, you’ll surely love playing on the sand.

Since 2003, the International Sand Sculpture Festival or Festival Internacional de Escultura em Areia (FIESA) has been annually held in Pêra, Portugal.

Every year, about 60 sand sculptors use 35,000 tons of sand to create 50 works of art based on the theme designated for that year. It is also available for people in the evenings with atmospheric lighting.

For the year 2017, visitors can enjoy new adventures during the exhibition like performing workshops of various arts, watching shows on a 360º sand stage, taking guided tours or relaxing in an icicle spa. Since this festival runs from March to October, you can enjoy the summer holiday here with this wonderful works of art.
