A six-day food festival is set here starting on June 18 to showcase the flavors of Aklan.
The activity is part of the annual food festival organized by the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Tourism Council (KATC).
Now on its 22nd year, the food festival will unveil Aklan’s native dishes and exotic foods including the famous “Tamilok” or woodworm.
KATC President Mariquit Lao said the food festival aims to encourage Aklanons to try the local delicacies and to introduce these among the tourists.
As part of the activity, food trucks will be stationed at Kalibo Magsaysay Park at the capital town from June 18 to June 23.
Aside from the food trucks, spectators will also be entertained with live bands coming from nearby provinces.
Also joining the event are comedians from Bacolod City. (KVB/PNA)
